Education

As designated by NSA Information Assurance Directorate, FSU has established training standards for information assurance courseware evaluation since 2000. FSU offers certification to trained specialists under the Committee of National Security Systems (CNSS) NSTISSI standard 4011 for “Information Security Professionals” every three years. FSU has been certified to train specialists for the professional standard of CNSS 4014 for “Information Security Officers” since 2008. FSU has been funded by the National Science Foundation to support its educational program in cybersecurity since 2002. FSU has received a total of $7 Million for cybersecurity Education from the federal government agencies through three NSF CyberCorps Scholarship for Service (SFS) awards, and two awards from Department of Defense.
